Mr. Erickson joined Meketa Investment Group in 2013 and has 17 years of investment industry experience. A Vice President of the firm, Mr. Erickson works with various defined benefit and health & welfare funds, with Taft Hartley, non profit, and public plan sponsors. His work includes assisting with the development of asset allocation and investment policies, as well as providing oversight of client portfolios.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Erickson was employed by Brandes Investment Partners, an investment manager concentrating on value investing. While at Brandes, Mr. Erickson gained valuable experience in many aspects of institutional investing, including operations, client service and portfolio management. In addition, he served as the primary researcher for the thought leadership and think tank division of the firm.
He received a bachelor of science degree in Management Science and a minor in Music Humanities from the University of California, San Diego. Mr. Erickson holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and is a member of the CFA Society of San Diego and the CFA Institute. He also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, and is a member of the CAIA Association®.
